First attempt

Not really sure what this is all about but am willing to give it a go. So far I have managed to set up this blog and hopefully be able to get back to it in the future. I suppose the further into the program I get the more I will understand. I'm still confused as to why 'blogs'. How are they different from internet pages? And what happens to them in the end. Do they keep going for ever? Is it like a chat room? I have lots of unaswered questions but by the end of this program I intend to be an expert(???)
